06/04 -- State Finals at Caledonia

BOYS:   Pete Antor placed 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 39.09.  Also representing the Spartans at the meet were Justin Chapman in the shot put and Nick Schweitzer in the discus.

GIRLS:  Lisa Krupp was state champion in the pole vault with a vault of 11' 3", a new school record.  Magan Antor set a new school record in the 800 meter run with an 8th place finish of 2:21.78.  The 3200 meter relay team (Heidi Momber, Chelsea Miller, Tara Trimble and Magan Antor) set a new school record with a time of 9:51.1.  Other Spartans competing in the meet were Amber Jacht in the discus and relay team members Tomi Tomson, Kaileigh Russo, Naomi Reyburn, Rachel Jantz and Lindsey McKnight.


05/28 -- Team State Meet at Corunna

GIRLS:   The Spartans made an excellent showing with a 3rd place finish in the meet.  Lisa Krupp won the pole vault competition and Amber Jacht placed first in the discus.


05/26 -- John Bos Meet

BOYS:  Pete Antor placed 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 39.1.  Justin Chapman was 4th in the shot put with a throw of 45' 4.5".  In the 1600 meter run, Adam Yost placed 4th with a time of 4:39.8.

GIRLS:   Lisa Krupp placed 1st in the pole vault with a vault of 10' 6".  Lindsey McKnight was 4th in the high jump with a jump of 5'.  In the 100 meter hurdles, Jenni Konkle placed 5th with a time of 17.0. 


05/23 -- OK League Champion of Champions

BOYS:  Pete Antor finished 2nd and improved his school record in the 300 meter hurdles to 39.0.  He tied for 7th place in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.4.  Seth Bouwhuis placed 7th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.31.  The 1600 meter relay team (Bouwhuis, VanNatter, Thayer and Antor) placed 6th with a time of 3:36.5.

GIRLS:   Lisa Krupp tied for first place in the pole vault with a vault of 10' 6".  Amber Jacht finished 2nd in the discus with a personal best throw of 125' 7".  Magan Antor placed 4th in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:24.6.


05/20 -- Regional at Comstock Park

BOYS:  The boys placed 5th in the meet and had many excellent performances.  Regional champions were  Pete Antor in the 300 meter hurdles (39.73) and Nick Schweitzer in the discus (141' 4".)

GIRLS:   REGIONAL CHAMPIONS!   The Spartans won the Regional Championship for the 2nd year in a row!  Lisa Krupp improved her own school record in the pole vault with a jump of 10' 9".   Amber Jacht was the Regional champion in the discus with a throw of 113' 2".   Magan Antor placed 2nd in both the 800 meter and 1600 meter.


05/18 -- Ovid Elsie Invitational for Grades 9 & 10

BOYS:  The boys placed 3rd in the meet.  First place finishers were Luke Vincent, Chris Rynberg, Sid Farr, Adam Yost, Alex Matthews, Nick Arends and Nate Thompson.  Personal bests were recorded by Brad Dauber in the 800 meter run, Ed Henry in the shot put and Nate Kober in the 1600 meter run.

GIRLS:  The girls were meet champions with 126 points!  First place finishers were Jacht in the discus, Cheslek in the shot put and the 1600 meter relay team.


05/16 -- OK White JV Conference Meet at Sparta

BOYS:  The Spartans placed 2nd in the meet.  Winning individual events were Nate Kober, Alex Matthews and Nick Arends.

GIRLS:  The Sparta girls won the meet by more than 100 points over the nearest competitor.  First place finishers in individual events were Kelly Berkeland, Megan Vanderhyde, Amanda Alber, Elyse Hodyna, Katie Yahrmarkt and Cassie Hill.


05/12 and 5/13 -- OK White Conference Meet at Kenowa Hills

BOYS:  The boys placed 3rd in the conference.  Pete Antor was the conference champion in the 300 meter hurdles with a school record time of 39.7.  Eric Stouten ran a personal best time of 10:00.7 in the 3200 meter run, earning the sophomore record on the Millennium Milestones.  Antor and sprinter Seth Bouwhuis earned All-Conference honors.

GIRLS:  The girls ended the conference season as co-champions with East Grand Rapids by  placing 2nd in the meet and winning the dual season with a 7-0 record.  Lisa Krupp was the pole vault champion with a vault of 10'.  Earning All-Conference honors were Magan Antor, Lisa Krupp, Jessy Rollston and Tomi Tomson.


05/09 -- Wildcat JV Invitational at Lakeview

BOYS:  The boys placed 4th out of 12 teams.  Eric Stouten won the 3200 meter run in a time of 10:14.1, and the 3200 meter relay team also placed first.

GIRLS:  The girls placed 2nd at the meet.  Earning first place honors for the Spartans were Mallory Fuhst, Magan Antor, Amber Jacht and the 3200 meter relay team.


05/07 -- Eagle Invitational at Hudsonville

BOYS:  The boys finished 2nd out of 8 teams.  Pete Antor placed first in both the pole vault and the 300 meter hurdles, and Justin Chapman won the shot put.

GIRLS:  The girls placed 1st out of 7 teams.  Lisa Krupp won both the pole vault and the 300 meter hurdles, and Amber Jacht won the discus.


05/05 -- Sparta at Kenowa Hills

BOYS:  The boys finished the dual season with a 5-2 record as they defeated the Knights by a score of 99.5 - 36.5.   All four of the relay races were won by the Spartans.  Individual events were won by Antor, Fairman, Humphries, Jacobsen, Kober, Farlow and Schweitzer.

GIRLS:  The girls defeated the Knights by a score of 81 - 56 completing a perfect 7-0 record in duals.  Winning individual events for the girls were Russo, Jantz, Reyburn, Yahrmarkt, Rollston, Burmeister and Krupp.  Magan Antor (5:24 in the 1600 m. run) and Hanna Burmeister (5' in the high jump) had personal best performances.


05/03 -- Northview at Sparta

BOYS:  The boys won by a score of 77-59.  First place finishers in individual events were Schweitzer, Levy, Brouwer, Carter, Momber, Antor, Yost, Jacobsen and Stouten.  The 3200 meter relay team (Dauber, VanNatter, Jacobsen, DeHaan) and the 1600 meter relay team (DeHaan, VanNatter, Thayer, Antor) also placed first.  Stouten's time of 10:03.8 in the 3200 meter run was a personal best and earned him the 2nd place spot on the Millennium Milestone records.

GIRLS:  The girls defeated the Wildcats 103-34.  Placing first in individual events were Burmeister, Krupp, Konkle, DeBoer, Antor, Jantz, Reyburn and Yahrmarkt.  Members of the 4 winning relay teams were Trimble, Hill, Rodgers, Konkle, Tomson, Russo, Momber, Reyburn, Jantz and Antor.   Jenni Konkle had a personal best of 16.5 in the high hurdles and moved into 2nd place on the Millennium Milestone records.


04/28 -- East Grand Rapids at Sparta

BOYS:  The boys defeated East by a score of 96-40.  The Spartans won all 4 relays.  Winners in individual events were Schweitzer, Levy, Brouwer, Carter, Chapman, Farlow, Yost, Humphries and Stouten.

GIRLS:  The girls won by a score of 71-66.  This win gave them a perfect 5-0 record in the conference.  First place finishers in individual events were Rollston, McKnight, Krupp and Tomson.


04/26 -- Sparta at Unity Christian

BOYS:  The boys scored an impressive victory of 108-25.  Pete Antor won the pole vault, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash and the high hurdles.  Tim Van Natter was on all 4 winning relay teams.

GIRLS:  The girls won by a score of 91-45.  Lindsey McKnight won the 100 meter dash, the 200 meter dash, the high jump, and was on the winning 1600 meter relay team.  Jessy Rollston won both the discus and the shot put.


04/21 -- Greenville at Sparta

BOYS:  The boys were defeated by Greenville despite many outstanding performances.  Adam Yost ran a personal best time of 4:39.9 in the 1600 meter run.  Eric Stouten's personal best time of 10:10.1 earned him the 3rd place spot on the Millennium Milestones.  Pete Antor ran a personal best time of 15.5 in the high hurdles.

GIRLS:  The girls won by a score of 81-56.  Jessy Rollston improved her distance in the discus to 102' 3".   Magan Antor ran a personal best time of 1:02.2 in the 400 meter dash.  Kaileigh Russo ran a personal best of 27.1 in the 200 meter dash, earning her the 2nd place spot on the Millennium Milestones.


04/19 -- Sparta at Cedar Springs

BOYS:  The boys lost their meet to the Red Hawks by a score of 91-46.  First place finishers for the Spartans were: Josh Carter in the pole vault; the 400 meter relay team of Priest, Wheater, Holzgen and Bouwhuis; and Pete Antor in the long jump and both hurdle events.

GIRLS:  The girls won by a score of 81-56.  Earning first place finishes were:  Amber Jacht in the discus; Kaileigh Russo in the long jump; the 3200 meter relay team of Momber, Trimble, Krupp and Antor; Jenni Konkle in the high hurdles; the 800 meter relay team of Thompson, Russo, Momber and Reyburn; Jessy Rollston in the shot put; Magan Antor in the 400 meter dash; Lisa Krupp in the 300 meter hurdles; Chelsea Miller in the 800 meter run; and Naomi Reyburn in the pole vault.


04/16 -- Sparta hosted the Tri-Level meet for girls while the boys traveled to Allendale for their Tri-Level meet.

BOYS:  In the Grade 11-12 division, first place finishers for the Spartans were: Thayer in the 400 meter run; Antor in the low hurdles; and the 1600 meter relay team of DeHaan, VanNatter, Thayer and Antor.  In the Grade 9-10 division, Dauber placed first in the 800 meter run.

GIRLS:  In the Grade 11-12 division, first place finishers were Tomson in the long jump and 100 meter hurdles, and Krupp in the pole vault.  Earning first place finishes in the Grade 9-10 division were Jacht in the discus, McKnight in the high jump, Antor in the 400 meter dash, and the 3200 meter relay team of Trimble, Konkle, Hill and Antor.  The Grade 9-10 girls won their division.


04/14 -- The Spartans hosted the Lowell Red Arrows in the first league dual of the track season.

BOYS:  The boys won by a score of 132 - 5.  First place finishers for the Spartans were Justin Chapman, Pete Antor, Jason Farlow, Josh Carter, Seth Bouwhuis, Adam Yost, Miles Thayer, Rob DeHaan, A. Holzgen and Eric Stouten.  Sparta also placed first in each of the relays.

GIRLS:  The girls defeated the Red Arrows by a score of 95 - 42.  Lisa Krupp bettered her own school record in the pole vault with a vault of 10' 5¾".  Krupp also won the 300 meter hurdles.   Jessy Rollston placed first in both the discus and the shot put.  Lindsey McKnight placed first in the high jump and both the 100 and 200 meter dashes.  Tomi Tomson won the long jump and the 100 meter hurdles. The Spartans placed first in each of the relay races.


04/07 -- The Spartans participated in a 5-team scrimmage at Kent City.  It was the first competition of the season for the Spartans, as two previous meets were cancelled due to bad weather.


03/14 -- First day of track practice!
