11/03 -- State Finals at Michigan International Speedway

Boys:  Nate Dahlgren ran a time of 16:43 to lead the boys to a 17th place finish.  He was followed by Nate Kober, T.J. Blystone, Andy DeLodder, Dustin Reed and A.J. Christafferson.  Running personal best times were Blystone, DeLodder, Reed and Christafferson.

Girls:  Katelyn Cnossen led the girls to a 19th place finish.  Cnossen placed 14th in 18:49 and earned All-State honors. She also advanced to 2nd place on the school record board.  Andrea Kober was Sparta's second runner and ran a personal best time of 20:17 which earned her 10th place on the Millennium Milestones. She was followed by Allison Scheidel, Emily Frederick, Bailey Ravell, Chelsea Andrews and Natalie Klenk.  Ravell, Andrews and Klenk also ran personal best times.

10/27 -- Regional 11-2 at Sparta - windy, occasional rain, 50 degrees

Boys:  REGIONAL CHAMPIONS!  The Spartans came away with an impressive first place finish in the 15-team regional competition.  Nate Kober led the great team effort with his 5th place finish in 17:05.  He was followed by Alex Matthews, Nate Dahlgren, T.J. Blystone, Andy DeLodder, Dustin Reed and A.J. Christafferson.  Kober, Matthews, Dahlgren and Blystone all finished in the top 15 runners, earning individual Regional medals.  The team now advances to the State Finals on November 3 at M.I.S. in Brooklyn.

Girls:  Katelyn Cnossen was the individual Regional champion running a time of 19:46.  The team placed 2nd in the meet and advances to the November 3 State Finals.  Andrea Kober finished in 11th place with a time of 20:35 and earned a medal for placing in the top 15 runners. Cnossen and Kober were followed by Emily Frederick, Bailey Ravell, Allison Scheidel, Chelsea Andrews and Natalie Klenk.

10/17 -- OK Blue Jamboree #4 at Sparta

Boys:  Nate Kober led the Spartans to a 2nd place finish in the OK Blue.  Kober, who finished 2nd in the race, ran a time of 16:32.  Nate Dahlgren placed 3rd in the race with a personal best time of 16:36, earning him the #10 spot on the school record board.  Completing the top 7 for Sparta were Alex Matthews, T.J. Blystone, Dustin Reed, Andy DeLodder and A.J. Christafferson.   Earning league medals for placing in the top 10 individuals in the race were Kober, Dahlgren, Matthews and Blystone.

Girls:  The girls were led by Katelyn Cnossen who ran a personal best time of 19:32 for 2nd in the race. Her time earned her a 3-way tie on the school record board for 5th place.  Completing the top 7 runners were Andrea Kober, Allison Scheidel, Emily Frederick, Natalie Klenk, Chelsea Andrews and Bailey Ravell.  The girls finished league competition in 2nd place.  Cnossen and Kober earned league medals by placing in the top 10 individuals in the race.

10/06 -- Tigershark Invitational at Allegan - Scoring is done by adding the top 6 times together.  Weather was very hot.

Boys:  The Spartans placed 1st in the 19-team competition.  The top 6 runners were Nate Kober, Nate Dahlgren, Alex Matthews, T.J. Blystone, Dustin Reed and A.J. Christafferson.

Girls:  The girls placed 5th in the meet.   The top 6 were Katelyn Cnossen, Andrea Kober, Chelsea Andrews, Natalie Klenk, Emily Frederick and Allison Scheidel.

10/03 -- OK Blue Jamboree #3 at Cedar Springs

Boys:  The top 7 Spartans were Nate Kober, Nate Dahlgren, Alex Matthews, T.J. Blystone, Dustin Reed, Andy DeLodder and A.J. Christafferson.  Personal best times were run by Blystone, Reed, Kenny Johnson and Matt Johnson.

Girls:  Katelyn Cnossen led the Spartans with a time of 19:48.  She was followed by Allison Scheidel, Andrea Kober, Bailey Ravell, Emily Frederick, Chelsea Andrews and Natalie Klenk.

09/29 -- Don Baese Invitational at Carson City

Boys:  The boys placed 5th in the meet.   Nate Kober ran a personal best time of 16:27, which earned him the #6 spot on the All-Time Top Ten School Record Board. Completing the top seven Spartans were Nate Dahlgren, Alex Matthews, T.J. Blystone, Dustin Reed, Andy DeLodder and A.J. Christafferson.

Girls:  The girls placed 11th in the meet. The top seven runners were Katelyn Cnossen, Allison Scheidel, Andrea Kober, Natalie Klenk, Chelsea Andrews, Brittany George and Dana DeBoer

09/19 -- OK Blue Jamboree #2 at Johnson Park

Boys:  The boys placed 2nd in the meet.   The top 7 runners were Nate Kober, Nate Dahlgren, Alex Matthews, T.J. Blystone, Dustin Reed, Andy DeLodder and A.J. Christafferson. 

Girls:  The girls also placed 2nd.  The top 7 for the girls were Katelyn Cnossen, Allison Scheidel, Andrea Kober, Emily Frederick, Brittany George, Chelsea Andrews and Natalie Klenk.

Boys:  The boys placed 2nd in the meet with a great team effort.  Nate Kober placed first with a personal best time of 16:39, placing him in 10th place on the school top ten record board and in 6th place on the Millennium Milestones. 

Girls:  Katelyn Cnossen led the girls to a 3rd place finish in the meet.  Cnossen ran a personal best time of 19:46, earning her a spot on the school top ten record board in 10th place and on the Millennium Milestones in 6th.

09/08 -- Central Montcalm Invitational (Grade level races - no team scoring)

Boys:  Alex Matthews won the 12th grade boys race, followed closely by Nate Kober in 2nd place.  T.J. Blystone was 8th and Andy DeLodder placed 9th.  Nate Dahlgren was 2nd in the 11th grade race and A.J. Christafferson placed 5th in the 9th grade race.

Girls:  Allison Scheidel placed 1st in the 9th grade race.  Natalie Klenk was 8th and Bayley Ravell was 9th.  Katelyn Cnossen was 3rd in the 10th grade race, followed by Chelsea Andrews in 5th, Emily Frederick in 6th and Andrea Kober in 7th.  In the 12th grade race, Dana DeBoer placed 7th.

09/05 -- OK Blue Jamboree #1 at Riverside Park (another hot day!)

Boys:  The boys placed second in the meet and had many great performances.  Senior Nate Kober led the way for the Spartans with a time of 16:54.  Completing the top seven were Nate Dahlgren, Alex Matthews, T.J. Blystone, Andy DeLodder, Dustin Reed and A.J. Christafferson.

Girls:  The girls also placed second in the meet. Katelyn Cnossen was the first runner across the line for the Spartans with a time of 20:45. Allison Scheidel, Andrea Kober, Emily Frederick, Chelsea Andrews, Natalie Klenk and Stephanie Hull completed the top seven Sparta runners.

08/28 -- OK Blue/Silver Crossover Meet at Long Lake Park (a hot day!)

Boys:  Nate Kober was the top runner for the Spartans with a time of 17:34.  He was followed by Nate Dahlgren, T.J. Blystone, Andy DeLodder, Dustin Reed, A.J. Christafferson and Kenny Johnson.

Girls:  The Spartans were led by Katelyn Cnossen with a time of 21:17.  Completing Sparta's top seven were Allison Scheidel, Emily Frederick, Andrea Kober, Chelsea Andrews, Natalie Klenk and Dana Deboer.

08/18 -- Glen Lake Invitational at Glen Lake High School

Boys:  On the second day of cross country camp, the Spartans ran their first competition of the season on a 2 mile course that included sand and hills.  Alex Matthews led the Spartans, followed by Nate Dahlgren, Nate Kober, T.J. Blystone, Dustin Reed, Andy DeLodder and A.J. Christafferson. 

Girls:  The girls were led by first-year cross country runner Katelyn Cnossen, who won the overall competition for the girls.   Cnossen was followed by Alli Scheidel, Chelsea Andrews, Andrea Kober, Emily Frederick, Brittany George and Natalie Klenk.
